About Philippe Ehlinger
Dr. Ehlinger was educated by Prof Richter at the Hôpital Universitaire et Cantonal de Genève in the Maxillo-facial surgery division of the rehabilitation surgery department. Afterwards he was the head of the clinic at Prof Béziat (plastic and MKA surgery) at the Université Lyon-Nord.
Since 1997 he has been active in his practice and in the GZA hospitals where the patients are admitted for more complex treatments under narcosis, if necessary.
Some treatments happen better in a hospital than in a practice or a private institution. The GZA hospitals are JCI-accredited, if possible, colleagues from all possible disciplines can be called in, there is an emergency admission and an anesthesia-monitoring service 24/24 and 7/7. Safety is above all else.
Complex treatments under full anesthesia are, however, performed less frequently. This trend will continue.
Often it is possible to achieve the same result through a combination of smaller treatments as with one major operation, with less risk and without incapacity for work.
Doctor Ehlinger has a thorough knowledge of science, sufficient experience and a developed artistic eye, he will inform you flawlessly what can be improved, what the possible alternative is and what result can be achieved. After all, every treatment has limitations.
The price of dental implants is standard and competitive, aesthetic treatments are individual.
Whether it is a botox injection or a nose correction: at the end of the first consultation, each patient receives a binding quotation of their own costs plus information about what may be reimbursed by health insurance or insurance. Implants are also placed with a lifetime warranty.
Doctor Ehlinger has very broad interests, social and artistic. During his stay in France, he was mainly involved in the treatment of patients with oral cancer and babies with cleft lip (schisis) or skull abnormalities.
Since 1996 he has worked as a member of the oncology team of the GZA and founding head of the schist team.
Currently, the e-clinic is limited to aesthetics with a special interest for the eyelid and dental implants.
Dr. Ehlinger is focused, independent and unbound. He is at the crossroads of a network with NKO doctors, ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, dentists, periodontists, orthodontists and dental labs. In addition to the option of an additional expert advice, every patient is referred to top people from related disciplines if necessary.
He is deliberately an unpaid external advisor to two pharmaceutical companies in the US and Switzerland. In this way he learns at an early stage what the expected developments in his field are and others share his expertise.
His scientific curriculum has been impressive for over 20 years: publications in international journals, speakers at symposia and congresses of associations such as IMCAS, IAMFS and EACMFS. He is also a member of the Academy of Osseointegration.
